We finished our unit on Feelings and emotions. The children have learned about sad,angry,tired, surprised and scared. They learned that all these emotions are okay to feel. It is the actions that we use that get us into trouble.
Our toddler's are working hard on learning their body parts and colors.
All pre-k's have been working on writing their name. As parents you are your child's first teacher. Please take the time each day to help your child practice writing their name. Only the first letter in their name should be uppercase, the remaining letters are lowercase. All our preschoolers have conquered their colors and shapes!!
Our kindergartners have been busy learning sight words. Reminder that all children learn at a different pace. I have your child work to the best of their ability. By kindergarten I have different lessons based on where your child's zone of development is.
HALLOWEEN AND POTLUCK DINNER TUESDAY OCTOBER 30TH 4:00 PM
- COSTUMES AND MAKE UP SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF THE DAY BEFORE.
- PLEASE LABEL ALL COSTUME PIECES AND PLACE IN A LABELED BAG.
- IF YOU WOULD LIKE US TO APPLY MAKE-UP PLEASE SUPPLY IT IN YOUR CHILD'S COSTUME BAG.
- WE WILL NOT APPLY MAKE-UP THIS YEAR WITHOUT YOUR CHILD HAVING THEIR OWN. THIS WAY WE WILL NOT UPSET PARENTS WHO DO NOT WANT MAKE-UP ON THEIR CHILD.
- DON'T FORGET TO SEND A TRICK OR TREAT BAG WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME ON IT. WE GET LOTS OF LOST CANDY BAG EVERY YEAR WHEN I SUPPLY MARKET BASKET BAGS.
- PLEASE LINE UP ALONG THE DRIVEWAY BY 3:45.
- THE CHILDREN WILL PARADE IN THEIR COSTUMES DOWN THE DRIVEWAY.
- PLEASE DO NOT PASS OUT CANDY UNTIL THEIR RETURN TRIP UP THE DRIVEWAY.
- POTLUCK ITEMS MAY BE BROUGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE IN A CROCK POT OR PAN AND I WILL HEAT UP ANY FOOD ITEMS DURING THE DAY.
- POTLUCK SIGN UP LIST ON PARENT BOARD.
- NO BIKE RIDING IS ALLOWED AFTER THE PARADE.
- PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CHILD AFTER THE PARADE. WE HAVE HAD CHILDREN WANDER AWAY AND DO NOT WANT ANY HURT CHILDREN.
- IF THIS IS NOT YOUR CHILD'S USUAL SCHOOL DAY, PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD ARRIVE DRESSED AND READY FOR THE PARADE BY 3:30. IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR CHILD TO ARRIVE OFF THE SCHOOL BUS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
- SNACK LIST IS POSTED ON PARENT BOARD INSIDE THE DAYSCHOOL.
Kindergarten and younger will also be having a Halloween party on the 31st. No costumes are needed but they may bring them if they want.
Our new unit is making friends. We will learn about what it takes to make and keep friends. How to be a good friend.(sharing, cooperating,empathy and including everyone.) We will also discuss the don'ts on friendship.(teasing,hurting,laughing, name calling and bullying)
